World Wetlands Day 2024
World Wetlands Day, celebrated every year on 2 February, marks the signing of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, an intergovernmental treaty with the mission to conserve wetlands. This day is celebrated to raise public awareness about the importance and value of wetlands. The theme for 2024 is “Wetlands and Human Wellbeing”.
Access Week 2023
CapeNature's 9th annual Access Week will take place from September 23-29, during which visitors can access 24 selected nature reserves in the Western Cape for free.
Tourism Month Panel Discussion
In celebration of global Tourism Month theme TOURSIM & GREEN INVESTMENTS, CapeNature is hosting an in-person panel discussion event, taking place this week.
#DontBeTrashy 2023
We are excited to announce the #Don'tBeTrashy Drive that will start during the month of September.
The drive includes calendar days such as National Clean Up Day celebrated on 18 September, International Coastal Clean Up Day celebrated on 21 September, and Recycle Week celebrated between 20-26 September.

Solving The Strippy Saga of the Cape Mountain Zebra
At the annual Fynbos Forum, will showcase their work on the conservation of the Cape Mountain Zebra. The presentation will highlight the progress made in protecting this endangered species and the challenges that still lie ahead.
The Garden Route Film Festival
The Garden Route Film Festival will be held from 2-5 August in Mossel Bay, and CapeNature will be participating in this event.
