CapeNature Support Schools and Communities With Sustainable Indigenous Gardens
We recently launched a new project called Greening Initiatives under our Plant One Million Trees campaign.
Our goal is to help communities and schools become more environmentally friendly by providing much-needed items such as seedlings, trees, water pipes, and spades. We plan to support these schools and communities in the long term until they have fully functional and sustainable gardens.
Green spaces serve multiple purposes including shading and recreational spaces, food gardens, and educational experiences for learners teaching them about nutrition, life skills, and biodiversity.
Planting more indigenous trees helps the environment by attracting and providing habitat for birds, insects, and other organisms. We also offer workshops for teachers on how to deliver curriculum-aligned environmental lessons and activities.
