World Environment Day 2021 - Kids' Competition

Are you between 7 and 13 years old?  If the answer is yes, you could win a fantastic hamper from CapeNature in our World Environment Day 2021 competition.  

Entering couldn't be easier:

1) Go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GFXSzw79nM and watch the Ecosystem Restoration Classroom and find the answer to this easy question:

Name one of the sites mentioned in the video where ecosystem restoration has taken place?


2) Then email your answer, name and primary school to learning@capenature.co.za before midnight, 25 June 2021.

And that's it - you're entered!

Three hampers are up for grabs and winners will be selected by lucky draw.

Competition Terms and Conditions

Stand a chance of winning a hamper of goodies this World Environment Day. Prizes may be collected at the one of following head offices, CapeNature, Western Cape Government in Cape Town or WESSA in KwaZulu Natal. In the event of a winner being chosen outside of Western Cape and KwaZulu Natal provinces, the prize will be courier to a central location for collection by the winner.

  1. No person who is a child of an employee of the Western Cape Government, CapeNature, WESSA, or UNEP or a child of such a person’s spouse or life partner, is eligible for entry into the competition.
  2. The competition is open to anyone that is 7 to 13 years of age before the closing date of the competition.
  3. The competition is only open to legal residents of South Africa.
  4. The competition runs from 18 – 25 June 2021. No late entries will be accepted.
  5. Entries must be received by no later than 12h00 midnight on 25 June 2021
  6. To enter the competition participants need to answer a question based on the WED video and email their answer to learning@capenature.co.za.
  7. A person may enter once only.
  8. The winner will be randomly chosen via a certified method of selection.
  9. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, delayed or damaged in transmission.
  10. Entries reflected on the organiser's records will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries.
  11. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
  12. In the event of the winner being uncontactable within 48 hours, the organiser reserves the right to draw again.
  13. The organisers reserve the right to alter or cancel the competition at its discretion, without recourse.
  14. Prizes that are not collected within 1 month of the competition will be discarded.
  15. The participant unconditionally and irrevocably indemnifies and holds harmless organisers and its successors, employees, officers, suppliers, contractors, agents, consultants, directors and shareholders against all and any losses, claims, proceedings, actions, damages, (direct, consequential or otherwise), liability, demands, expenses, legal costs (on an attorney and own client basis), medical costs or other costs howsoever arising out of, based upon, or in connection with (directly or indirectly) the participants participation in the competition.
  16. The judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
