Whale Festival Attracts Scores of People

CapeNature took the opportunity to host an exhibition at the 31st Whale Festival held in Hermanus from 30 September to 2 October.The exhibition focused on our marine protected areas, but also provided an opportunity for parents to subscribe their children to CapeNature’s Cubs Club in real time.

Monitoring Wetlands on CapeNature Reserves

The monitoring of rivers has been going for many years but monitoring of wetlands was only initiated this year. All the monitoring projects fall within the Integrated Work Plan and Eco-matrix planning for the relevant Nature Reserves. These include, Jonkershoek, Hottentots Holland, Limietberg, Kogelberg and Waterval-Hexriver Nature Reserve Complex.

Permit Prices at World-class Bouldering Site Remain Unchanged

All Rocklands permits purchased online will remain unchanged for 2022. Rocklands partners viz. CapeNature, Travelers Rest, de Pakhuys, Agterpakhuis and Kleinfontein have deliberated and considering the increasing cost of living, collectively decided to ensure tourists can still enjoy climbing in the Cederberg Wilderness by keeping the Rocklands Bouldering permit fee unchanged.
