State of Conservation Report 2024

This is the first State of Conservation Report to inform the next iteration of the Western Cape State of Biodiversity Report to be released in 2028. Mandated by Western Cape Biodiversity Act (No. 6 of 2022), this report represents the 2024 annual update to the conservation status of species and ecosystems within the province of the Western Cape, highlighting outcomes in response to the global biodiversity concerns in the context of its mandate.
